Saturday rides:

  • Saturdays: There is a Mystic ride (road ride) at 7:00 am. starting in front of Bartleby's Cafe. Tempo ride, usually 3 to 3-1/2 hours.  Dave Johnson is the most regular "regular" on this ride at this hour. dej6459@sbcglobal.net

 

  • There is a Westerly ride (road ride) at 8:00 am starting at Brumble Bikes (shop). Up to 3 1/2 hours in duration. The Mystic group frequently rides to Westerly to join this ride.  Ride can be made to drop you off early if need be.  Random routes but usually north.  Could include some dirt roads.  The goal is to keep it together for the most part, weaker riders are expected to make a maximum effort to stay with the group, and better riders are expected to hold back.  If you get really tired, Amos will send you back.  Heavy rain cancels, but plan on Amos going.   Contact amos@brumblebikes.com.

Sunday Ride:

  • Sundays, year round. (road ride) "Jack's Ride"
    Norwich, Ride starts 7:00 am sharp 32 Weber Farm Rd  Norwich. Can also meet at Preston Plains School at intersection of Rte 164 and Rte 2 in Preston at 7:30am.  4+/- hours including stopping for breakfast.   Easy ride 15-16 mph avg.   (No rides in rain) Info Contact Jack Curran

Tuesday Ride:

  • Tuesdays starting 3/16/10, Road Ride starts 5:30 pm in the commuter parking lot off 395 exit next to Norwich motor vehicles. Everyday riders encouraged, pace of 18-21 mph, no one gets left behind!  See news section of the website for more on this ride. Map to lot.  Info contact Mark .

Wednesday Rides:

  • Wednesday night ride (MTB ride) - Where: Bluff Point - Meet: Esker Point Parking Lot, Next to the Fisherman Resaraunt on Groton Long Point Rd. in Groton, CT. (I-95 to exit 88, go south on Rt. 117 to the Rt. 1 intersection, turn left on Rt. 1, bear right at the top of  the big hill on to Rt 215, continue until you get near the Fisherman Restaurant on your right.)  When: 6:30pm. Wed. Nights leaves promptly at 6:30 Duration: 2 Hours Steady Pace. No one gets dropped.   • Wednesday ride (road ride) at Brumble bikes, up to 2 1/2 hrs in duration. Head and tail light required. Meet at Brumble Bikes at 5:30pm. Contact Amos Brumble at  amos@brumblebikes.com
  • Training Criterium Series at Ninegret Park, Charleston RI.  Races start at 5:30pm.  Info at NBX Bikes. 

Thursday Ride:

    Women's Specific Rides:  

      
         
Saturday: 7 am meet in front of  Bartlbys in downtown    
            Mystic.    We join the MVC men for this 3 - 3 1/2 hour ride.

  

Sunday: see above "Jack's Ride" or meet at Bartleby's at 8 am to join the MVC men.

 

            Monday: Charlestown Time Trial  6:30 pm Ninigret Park, RI

       

Tuesday: Intervals or hills. Meet on River Road @ 4:30 pm 1 1/2 - 2 hours                  

           

            Wednesday:  Ninigret Practice Crits TBA

           

            Thursday:  Pequot Time Trail http://www.pequotcyclists.com 

           

Friday:  Intervals or hills.  Meet on River Road @ 4:30 pm 1 1/2 - 2 hours ending
at The Harp and Hound in downtown Mystic.
