| today was the first day of fitchburg starting with a time trial. this was my first time trial, i had no aero bars and no tt bike, and my new wheel set (dura ace hubs and dt swiss rims, nothing too aero). luckly the tt was basically all up hill, so i didnt have that much of a dissadvantage. i pre rode the corse on wed. after getting my number, so i knew the corse pretty well. oh and word to the wise when you start a tt the guy who holds you dosnt push you, i learned that the hard way. so my start was really sketchy but i made it off the ramp all right, and the whole this was hell. on probally the biggest hill i crested it doing 20 (ok) but as soon as i got there i totally blew up, i dropped to like 11-12 (def not ok!!!) but luckly the guy behind me didnt catch me! well the guy 3 people back caught me and passed me (this was obvisly not his first tt) but all in all im prettly happy with my finishing time of 19m 57s. as far as i know the most of the people finished in the 19's so i know im not last! i pre drove the road race coarse so tommorow will be intresting! ill keep you guys posted every day of this stage race! |
