Mystic Velo riders fared well at our Crit at Ninigret Park.  David Gilchrist, John Harris, Ian McFarland, and Nate Etchels placed 1,2,4,and 5 respectively, and Wayne Kird placed 5th in his race, Brian Wolfe placed 2nd, Gary Birkhamshaw danced away from the competition for 1st place and Dave Burnett placed 1st.

Mystic Velo brought home some serious hardware this weekend at the Housatonic Hills road race where the rain held off for a fantastic day of racing:

                John Harris – Junior 15-18 race winner and CT gold

                Bob Miekle – M50+ CT bronze

                Dave Burnett – M65+ CT gold

                Jim Themig – M60+ Silver

There were some outstanding battles – John Harris barely edged out Tom Burrow for the win in the Juniors race.  Take a look at the photo finish on the bike reg results. Dave Burnett barely missed 3^rd overall in the 55+.   Jim Themig missed gold by 3 seconds for CT 60+.

Nutmeg Crit: Evan Kirk 1st place, David Gilchrist 3rd place, David Burnett 3rd place in their respective races.

Lake Auburn RR in Maine, Dave Burnett 2nd place.

Congratulations to Denise Mitchell-Dignan, Jennifer Lacker, Mitch Favreau, and June Froh for raking in the awards at the Senior Games held in New Britain on 5/29. 

At the CT stage race, Mark Dutka scores 6th in the time trial, and Wayne Kirk places 1st in the Circuit race as MVC makes the podium for an exciting weekend of racing.  Read Mark's race report in the forum.

What a weekend for Mystic Velo riders.  The results were spectacular! 

Gary Birkhamshaw continues to ride awesome in his first place finish at Cyclonauts Crit.

Dwayne Melton, Jim Harnois, and Wayne Kirk all take second in their respective races and Dave Burnett, Jeff Morin, and Jim Themig take 3,5, and 6 respectively at the Hartford Crit.

Wow, Evan Kirk takes first at Lake Sunapee, Ben Wolf comes away with a top 5 finish in the CAT 3 race, and MVC was well represented.  Congrats to the Junior team who continue to churn out the wins, and to all who raced!
